The Böker V-42 is a military dagger with a remarkable story. In July of 1942, the Devil’s Brigade was founded. This was a military unit comprised of American and Canadian soldiers, specifically trained to fight behind enemy lines. The unit is known for its many night missions during which they painted their faces black. For this reason, the German troops called them ‘Black Devils’. This was out of mutual respect for this dangerous special unit.
