The Viper Dan 2 is a stylish friction folder with nice deep-carry pocket clip. A friction folder is a folding knife with no real locking mechanism. However, you can feel some resistance on the blade which keeps it from closing. The front flipper opens the knife easily. In opened position the flipper is located on the back of the blade where your thumb would be. Pushing down your thumb keeps the blade opened during use.
